Galiciana is the Digital Library of Galicia driven by the Department of Culture, Education and University of the Xunta de Galicia and the Foundation for the City of Culture of Galicia and managed by the Library of Galicia with the aim to disseminate and preserve his rich bibliographic heritage.

The project aims, not only to the digitization of collections, but also the standardization of access by the application of open and international standards, in order to provide maximum visibility of the library and each of their works.

Galiciana integrates digitized funds of the own Library of Galicia and resources of the principal libraries of Galicia with bibliographic heritage and of Galician centers in América. Galiciana is integrated in Hispana, the directory and content aggregator of digital collection databases of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. Also it takes part in Europeana, a common, multilingual access point to European cultural heritage
